Forensic Access' high -spec forensic science laboratories
Forensic Access has two laboratory sites: one at Oxford and one at York, comprising suites of modern laboratories fully equipped with up to date equipment and instrumentation. The sites are connected by a dedicated in-house courier service.
The York site, within the grounds of the highly secure Food & Environment Research Agency, houses our own forensic DNA profiling unit.
Our working protocols, again, based on years of experience, include a raft of anti-contamination measures including rigorous cleaning regimes and environmental monitoring of laboratories, carefully designed process flows and air flow control where necessary, spatial separation of items in the same case and routine wearing of surgeon style scrubs for searching.
We also have meeting rooms available for case conferences, and class rooms and lecturing facilities for larger gatherings when required. There is also space on the York site for large scale exhibit storage during the course of an investigation if this would be helpful.
The security of our premises is up to the standard requested by the Home Office as we are accredited suppliers to the National Forensic Framework Agreement.
