Supporting other forensic science providers
Forensic Access work directly for police forces (through contracts or an an ad-hoc, case-by-case basis) or supporting the police through being sub-contracted by other forensic science providers.
Other forensic science providers contract with Forensic Access for a number of reasons:
- accessing our forensic specialists when the provider does not have such a specialist within their organisation;
- to deal with peaks of casework demand in order to meet contracted turn-round-times;
- to assist with scene attendance rotas when the forensic providers own resources are at peak demand;
- as a "fresh pair of eyes" for particularly difficult cases, or cases that have become "stuck".
We are always open to discussions on working with other forensic science providers, on police casework, to help ensure that the police customer gets the best possible and timely service.
