Specialism: forensic toxicology
Stan joined Forensic Access as a Consultant Forensic Toxicologist in April 2011 after the closure of the Forensic Science Service’s Chorley laboratory where he had been an employee for 33 years.
He started his career as an assistant, working in various departments before becoming a reporting officer in the toxicology section.
At the time of Chorley’s closure he had become a senior reporting officer dealing with the toxicological aspect a large array of case types including murders, drug facilitated sexual assaults, suspicious deaths in both adults and children, coroner’s cases, driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, alcohol technical defence and food adulteration. Stan, whilst at Chorley, was an Authorised Analyst under the provisions of the Road Traffic Act and was registered with the Council of Registered Forensic Practitioners, until its demise in March 2009.
