The Quality Manager will have a pivotal role in leading the Quality culture whilst ensuring compliance to ISO/IEC 17025, FSR Code of Practice, information security and environmental requirements.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager. This is a rare opportunity for the right person to make a real difference in service delivery and be involved in shaping the future of our rapidly growing and ambitious company.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Quality Manager, you will:
- Maintain and develop the Forensic Access Ltd and Alecto Forensic Services quality management systems, procedures, and specifications to meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025, FSR Code of Practice, ISO 17020, ISO 17043
- Ensure compliance with these national and international standards along with the Code of Practice for Forensic Anthropology and the CIfA Standard and Guidance for Forensic Archaeologists
- Promote quality, information security and environmental achievements throughout the company and encourage continual improvement at all times
- Maintain control over all management system documentation
- Write and produce management system procedures, policies, forms, and records
- Review existing policies and make suggestions for change and improvements
- Support Technical Management to ensure laboratory operations meet the requirements of national and international standards
- Ensure validation activities meet the requirements of ISO scope of accreditation and FSR Code of Practice
- Maintain the non-conformance process and facilitate the identification of root cause analysis
- Manage corrective actions, preventive actions, improvement suggestions and standard deviations
- Manage and maintain the security of staff elimination databases
- Conduct the management review activities for both Forensic Access Ltd and Alecto Forensic Services: quarterly agenda, information packs, meeting minutes, process actions raised and maintain the quality action log
- Maintain documented business objectives and identify new opportunities
- Manage the internal audit schedule, plan, and conduct audits, produce audit reports and process audit findings
- Maintain the company’s pool of internal auditors, deliver internal audit training, review competence, allocate audits, review reports and process audit findings
- Ensure that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and that the organisation is meeting or exceeding those expectations
- Source and record all forms of customer feedback
- Manage the company’s risk management process, reporting and recording all incidents of risk, and establish risk assessments where necessary
- Manage the company’s requirements and participation in proficiency testing or ILC tests and identify and act upon improvement suggestions from the results
- Monitor the performance of the management system, producing data and reports on performance for management review
- Monitor national quality landscape and developments in forensic requirements and progress with accreditation to ISO 17025, the FSR Code of Practice, ISO 17020, and ISO 17043
- Lead the company through accreditation and certification assessments
- Highlight and provide relevant quality-related training for staff
- Work in collaboration with companies across the group to maintain consistent application of quality processes
Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Quality Manager, preferably within the Forensics Sector
- Lead Auditor Qualifications, minimum ISO 17025 (17020, 17043, 9001, 27001 & 14001 desirable)
- Meticulous attention to detail, methodical thinking, and organisational skills
- Above average technical/computer/digital ability
- Demonstrable experience of maintaining ISO 17025 (17020, 17043, 9001, 27001, 14001 desirable)
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of staff
- Unimpeachable integrity
- The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
- Working on your own initiative
- The ability to challenge existing processes to ensure continual improvement
Desirable:
- Membership of the CQI and the Chartered Quality Professional qualification
- Knowledge of statistics and good general numeracy
- Experience of working with elimination databases
- Knowledge of Traditional Forensic Evidence types

Due to the nature of the role and our work, all employees regardless of job role within the Forensic Access Group, must be cleared to NPPV3 and SC.
