Dr Simon Poole, BSc(Hons), MBBS, DMJ(Path), FRCPath
Specialism: Home Office Registered Forensic Pathologist, forensic pathology
Simon holds the degrees of Bachelor of Science (First-class Honours), Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and the Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence in Pathology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists and was admitted to the Home Office Register of forensic pathologists in 2007.
Prior to that he practised general histopathology for fourteen years, and performed coronial autopsies during that period.
He is a member of the Greater London & South East Group Practice of forensic pathologists, and holds dual specialist registration with the Postgraduate Medical Education Training Board.
Dr Simon Poole offers forensic pathology opinions, at the request of counsel (defence and prosecution) in cases of fatal and non-fatal injury and participates in the continuing professional development scheme organised by the Royal College of Pathologists.
He is also a fellow of the British Association in Forensic Medicine, and a foundation member of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
In addition he has co-authored publications on experimental, diagnostic and forensic pathology.
