We are currently seeking a full-time Data Mining/Online Market Research Specialist to join our exciting and expanding professional team based in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, passionate and professional individual to develop their career with one of the UK’s leading forensic science companies.

You will be working with the Marketing, Sales and Commercial teams to support the targeted growth for the company. We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused professional with a strong ability to work as part of a team and independently. This position presents a great opportunity for the right person to create a meaningful role that impacts the success of the company as a whole. The key responsibilities will be improving and managing marketing contacts within our legal vertical demographic, whilst providing some marketing research functions.

The ideal candidate should have experience in research and be able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in data entry. As this role develops, we expect the individual to interpret and use business intelligence as well as multi-departmental information to inform their day-to-day.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Online data mining and market research
  • Utilising business intelligence to define ideal audience and contacts
  • Data Entry
  • Data and contact management across various platforms
  • Manage performance tuning, capacity planning, automated backup and recovery of data stores.
  • Manage integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the data stores and databases.
  • Develop data mining processes for large data files.
  • Implement data mining system based on customer needs and industry trends.
  • Validate various data pulls for accuracy and completeness.

Skills and Experience – Essential:

  • Online Data Mining Experience
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel

Skills and Experience – Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of legal system
  • Basic knowledge of Sales and Marketing functions
  • Knowledge of GDPR and ethical processes around direct marketing contacts
