We are currently looking to recruit a Firearms Lead Scientist. This is a rare opportunity for the right person to join our rapidly growing and ambitious company and to be able to make a real difference in shaping and developing our future.
In addition to your experience as a firearms expert you will also have the personal qualities to lead and develop our team of highly experienced and dedicated firearms experts. You will become part of the company’s management team and will be responsible for all aspects of the Firearms Team’s work including the quality of the science, the delivery of the services to our customers and the development of the individuals within the team.
Several years’ experience as a firearms expert working for a forensic science organisation and competency in all areas of firearms examination including scene attendance and scene reconstruction.
An experienced expert witness with relevant court experience.
A good understanding of the requirements of ISO 17025 and the Forensic Regulators Codes of Practice and Conduct.
Previous line management experience is not essential but you must have the potential to be able to lead, motivate and develop your team.
You will be customer focused and ensure that the highest standards of customer service are maintained.
You will have excellent team working skills with the drive and determination to help take the company forward.
