Who is this Course for?

This course is designed for Crime Scene Managers or experienced Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) looking to undertake Crime Scene Management duties.

Course Topics
Course Aims: 

1. Provide an understanding of the role of the CSM and its relation to other key investigative roles.
2. Develop advanced CSM skills, including major scene awareness and strategic decision-making tools.
3. Use immersive Hydra Suite simulations to apply learning in realistic, high-stakes scenarios.
4. Teach the production of major crime logs, direction of CSI staff, and management of forensic scientists.

This course will include the following topics:
    • Scene Management Principles
    • Direction and Briefing of CSIs and Forensic Scientists at Major Scenes
    • ISO Standards
    • Leadership and Management
    • Role of the SIO
    • Kidnap and Murder Investigations
    • Niche Evidence and Scene Awareness
    • Hydra Suite Scenario Exercises
